What are Be-khudi Meditation Circles?

If you need to step away from the daily noise, and find a quiet peaceful moment to connect with your inner self, then join our weekly meditation circles. In this soulful class you will be led through a guided meditation and some breathwork practices that will bring your mind, body and soul into a calm state. You will be laying down for most of the duration of this class. Comfortable clothes are recommended. Let these circles take you on a meditative journey to help you feel recharged and heal from inside out!

What is The Art of Meditation and Mindfulness Course?

This is an 8-week course, with classes once a week for 50 minutes. If you want to stop running on autopilot and learn to manage your mind, rather than getting caught in negative ways of thinking, then this course is for you. This is a blend of mind training exercises, guided meditations, a series of videos and scientific-based readings to help you enhance your knowledge of mindfulness and meditation practices. You will find all these practices easy, effective and life changing, helping you improve your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Join us to experience increased levels of energy, complete sense of control over your thoughts, a heightened self-awareness and a lasting sense of calm!

What is Reiki and Chakra Healing Session?

As human beings, we are much more than just our physical bodies. We know through scientific research today that all psychological processes such as thoughts, emotions and beliefs are composed of energy which in turn have a grave influence on our material existence. It is now known that by taking care of our energy body (the soul) first, we can improve the flow of energy and encourage deeper overall healing.
The healing sessions are done in person, carefully designed with Reiki, Chakra and Aura healing techniques to harmonize the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body. These sessions will also include a one-on-one guided meditation and a ‘chakra assessment reading’ with healing practices suitable for you in your daily life to keep them in balance after the session.
It is important to note that since every person’s condition is unique, the outcome of healing is also varied. The outcome of this practice is also dependent on your beliefs and how you approach it. Join us to increase the life force energy within you!

For a few months, it seemed like a lot of things in my life weren’t going my way. Hence, after a great deal of self-reflection, I decided that I wanted to get a healing session. My gut told me that an alignment of my chakras, while may not solve things for me but could potentially help me.

I went into the session being open to the experience and transference of energy.

I really liked how we commenced with a general introduction of my life and what drew me to the healing. We then started the process, which was extremely comfortable.

In short, words cannot do justice to the healing session. However, I underwent one of the most surreal, transcendental experiences of my life.

Tehmina is a gifted soul who has a wonderful command over what she does and has the ability to connect with you on a deep level and take you through a transformational journey. A few weeks into the healing, I feel more steady in my life, have utmost clarity over things that were confounding me and after a long time, I feel content. I would recommend everyone to try it out!

Following my session which included chakra alignment, healing and charging, as well as reiki – I felt a discernible change in my state of being. I was lucky enough to discover Be-Khudi at a time during my spiritual journey when I needed it the most. This is supposed to be a review of the meditation and mindfulness classes that I took with Tehmina Mansoor. But it’s been very difficult to write. I write, and then I re-write and then I re-re-write. I’ve tried using the most appropriate words to describe the transformative experience but every time I read what I have written I realise that words can never do it any justice.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’ve had crippling anxiety since I was a child. My anxiety spun out of control some 13 years ago when my mother died of cancer. Last year I, too was diagnosed with cancer. By the summer of 2021, I thought it was too much. I was sick both in my soul and in my body and that I was too far gone for anyone to help me. And that is when Tehmina stepped in. I thought I wouldn’t be able to do this, I felt stupid when I sat quietly with my eyes closed but she gently took me from step to step. And she made me do it.

It is a miracle. I could shut my eyes one instant and in the next my inside eye would open. And it was like my eyes were never closed. I could see things both inside myself and outside. I thought I could heal everything. I felt I could see myself. She made me believe I could do it. She made me believe I could do anything. Now whenever I feel physically ill or a panic attack coming, I meditate. I meditate everywhere and all the time and it is my most favourite thing to do. I am still me but I am also more because of this path that Tehmina has so lovingly brought me on. And I know that if I keep going down this path for the rest of my life, it will be a fair recompense for the work that she has done.

I took Be-khudi’s Meditation course on the insistence of my daughter, who is a psychologist. And the truth is that after completing it, I realized what my ‘self-worth’ is and everything we are capable of.

I learnt a lot from the practice of gratitude with you. There were perhaps two or three things. First, I feel I have become calm and cool. The second is that I never used to think I am a good listener. But now I can listen calmly. And thirdly, I don’t react anymore.

As long as I can remember, I have had an issue with my nose, where one nostril remained blocked. But with my breathing exercises that has opened up, and I am just so relieved. I have also had chronic knee pain for so long. And even though the course ended three months ago, I have had no pain! “It has vanished just like a miracle.

I feel grounded now. And I feel I am better able to communicate. Now I think before I speak, and consciously construct my sentences. The bitter truth is, the trials of my life have not ended, and have in fact gotten more difficult. But I feel I know how to manage my situation very well and it is all because of these sessions.

This is neat - alumni from AKU-ISMC have set up an Urdu-English meditation platform to help people cope with the crisis of uncertainty and lockdown. We make a big deal about training future leaders in AKU-ISMC and sometimes that means people who have obvious positions of authority, like politicians, diplomats, scholars or entrepreneurs, but sometimes it means taking a lead in more personal capacities to try and make things better for others.
